I was good at my job. Like, really good. Certified Project Manager running multi-million dollar deals in M&A, managing timelines, stakeholders, and outcomes that actually mattered. On paper, I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

At home, I was the one holding everything together for my kids, my family, the people around me. I was the planner. The fixer. The one who figured it out. Eldest daughter energy, all day, every day, whether I asked for it or not.

"I had systems for everything… except my own life."

I kept thinking someday I'd slow down enough to figure out what I actually wanted. Someday I'd start the thing I kept dreaming about. Someday I'd have a plan for myself, not just for everyone else.

And then it hit me: someday is not a day on the calendar.

I had been waiting for permission. Waiting for a sign. Waiting for the life that was already mine to feel like mine. The PM in me finally got fed up with that plan because it wasn't a plan at all.

So in 2020, in the middle of everything, I started building Afterglow Plans. Not when things slowed down. Not when the kids got older. Right then. In the margins. Between the board meetings and the bedtime routines and all the things that weren't going anywhere.

This place exists because I needed it and it didn't exist yet. And I have a feeling you might need it too.
